The main purpose of Kevlar based thread is for adding strength. This stuff will break at about 9lbs which is unbelievable. Great for spinning hair or when tying things like Clousers where you really want to crank down on the thread for support. Shop Favorite

Keep in mind, we recommend not using Kevlar based threads with your usual bobbin. Use a separate bobbin than you usual use as this material will create grooves in the tip and cause thread breakage when you go to use say Mono or Uni Threads with the same bobbin later. good idea to have another one just for this thread.
