Mono Thread is a fine clear strand of monofilament that is great when used with epoxies or finishes as it disappears under the glue. Very fine and takes a little getting used to but it really makes a fly look nice in and out of the water.

it probably is okay under epoxy, or for deceivers/streamers but when used for clousers (even with softex over the eyes) the mono often broke when the back cast caught on beach, or the fly caught a rock in the water. UTC GSP thread is better in my experience as the eyes can smash/dent and the thread will still hold. Mark Johnston
