Gibbs LogoThe Gibbs Polaris Popper is an all time favorite and is finished in a traditional popper fashion. The key to using this popper is to vary the speed, even letting it come to a rest on occasion. Impart only enough rod tip action to splash the water and create the audible “gurgle.” The most common error in fishing these poppers is using to much rod action. Only a small twitch is needed as sound will travel fast under water. These poppers cast great and have produced many fish over 50lbs all over New England. Made using stainless steel thru wire construction, and using top quality terminal tackle and Mustad treble hooks. Bucktail added to the back treble for added attraction.

A great popper for big Brazlian peacock bass. The Polaris Popper in the 2 1/2 oz. size makes a different sound than all the popular prop baits used to call up the larger fish. Something new to their ears. Lure can be retrieved slowly with small twitches to mimic a wounded baby peacock or be violently jerked to make a big whoosh. A great alternative that won't make your arms ache at the end of the day.
