Gibbs LogoThe Gibbs Needlefish is an all time favorite among many surf fishermen. This wooden plug is great at night or even during the daylight hours in the fall. The Gibbs Needlefish is great for targeting big bass and casts great on almost any 8 to10 foot surf rod with ease. Many anglers fish it slow with a darting action varying the retrieve for different results. A slow, steady retriever at or just below the surface will produce a symmetrical V-wake that will often times will obtain the desired result. Strikes are much less dramatic than on other lures, so pay attention and concentrate on the plug at all times. Step up the retrieve considerably when Bluefish are your target species. .
