This bigger version of the Gibbs pencil popper is similar to the orrigial though it has a flat spot shaved out of the belly. This allows this heavier plug to sit nice in real heavy current like the Cape Cod Canal or some of the well known current flows along the east coast. Some boat anglers swear this thing will out fish the standard Pencil Popper in areas along jetties and outflows or up in the stones where big fish like to hold.
