Gibbs Casting Swimmers
The casting swimmer or “bottle plug” is a fantastic plug period! No metal lip allows this plug to really reach the “off beach” rips or structure that a metal lipped swimmer just falls short of. The casting swimmer is more at home in turbulent water and fast current and works great when you desire that slow wounded wobble that other big swimmers give you. Also great when distance is key. Vary the retrieve when heavy surf is present. Some anglers swear by letting the plug sit in place on the outgoing wave or tide allowing it to swim freely then speeding it back up on the incoming surge of water. Make it look natural and this plug will do all the work for you!
