I've been very impressed with the evolution of the Korkers shoes over the past few years. Instead of resting on their laurels, Korkers has continued to develop new and better solutions to the problem of keeping it rightside up on the rocks. See for instance the evolution of the omni-trax system, or the improvements made to the 1100 and k-5000 series (now rocktrax and castrax). If you find yourself worrying more about your footing than the fishing, you need to pick up a pair of Korkers.
Korkers gear is synonymous with comfort and safety. I simply can't imagine heading out onto the rocks to fish without a pair of sandals or boots/shoes strapped to my feet whether I'm fishing casually, in a pair of waders, or wetsuiting to a favorite rock.
