This particular lure is one of the few that actually imitates a living, swimming baitfish. Whether being horizontally retreived or vertically jigged, its swimming action is authentic and nonstop. Virtually all predetory species of fish grab the soft body and hold on; if they miss the hook, they will come back for a second strike and usually hook themselves on that attempt.
Another plus about this lure is that, in the smaller sizes ( 3"
& 4" are my favorites ), several come in a pack at a very reasonable price. You can pay much more for lures, but you will not get more. These do consistantly catch fish when others fail.
