Tattoo's Diving Swimmer at 2-1/2oz and 6-1/2" long features thu-wire construction, carries 4/0 VMC treble hooks, and heavy duty split rings. This lure is designed for normal to moderately heavy surf conditions and best used over structure or in heavy moving waters. Great when larger baits are present or your just out hunting for "Moby". This plug is great when heavy surf is present or conditions are just making it tough for a regular swimmer to "dig" into the water and allow you to feel the lure. Tattoo did a great job on this one! It digs in nice in all conditions when other plugs may not. The slopping front face in combination with a well balanced lure make this plug swim about 1-2 feet below the surface allowing it to get down to the zone where the bigger fish may be lurking. This plugs is also great when slow trolled behind a kayak or boat producing explosive hits.

Fishing The Swimmers: After the cast retrieve the lure with a steady slow retrieve just fast enough to cause the lure to swim. You will need to adjust your retrieve as you fish the lure through different types of water. Swimming the plug over the crest of the wave will cause you to raise your rod tip as you reel to pick up the slack line and keep the lure swimming and not tumbling down the front of the wave. Adjusting the eye of the lure will allow you to tune the lure. Bending the eye of the lure down will cause a more consistent surface swim, while bending the eye of the lure up will cause the lure to be retrieved sub surface. An occasional twitch of the rod tip causing a splash can add to your success. Swimmers are best used over structures where game fish lie in wait to attack non suspecting prey. Casting swimmers into boulder fields at first light is a great way to get a tug on the line.
