The beachmaster "Johnny Wad" or super strike "style" is a very versatile needle. It is one of my go-to Block Island needles, a place where shallow runners shine, but it can also be run deep by the count down method. It does not sink as fast as say a 2 ounce Habs, but it will stay down if needed. Also, it is a very stable needle in big water. Many guys won't go anywhere without at least one of these needles in their bag, myself included. |
