Hey guys, nice site and first post. I have comment/question for some of the aquidneck island sharpies.
Are tides really that important for fishing around Newport? I know about the breachways, cape and rivers however; our tide swing is relatively small and I've caught fish from the same location at HT and LT. I've always had a preference for the 1hr before/after HT but that's because I reason the fish like to move into the tidal water at night and when it's deeper. Not because of moving water and baitfish.
Now Im looking more and more (with greater success
) at the LT because I can rock-hop and reach deeper holes.......Thoughts?
