Bill Stevens did a good article in the Rod Maker magazine volume 9 issue 6 on the threadless guide wrap. Small surgical tubing 1/16 inch wide to hold the guide in place lift guide and put small amount of 30 minute clear two part epoxy under each foot on the guide. When the guide is dry cut and remove tubing
rings.Apply Perma Gloss ( U40 ) regular epoxy will not work over the guide let sit 2 hours, apply three more coats at 30 minute intervals.
My thoughts, and just my 2 cents I'll stick to a thread wrap, they say they are strong, but when a 12 lb. Albie is smoking my backing on a 10 weight i really don't want the guides going with it.
