Well what im doing actualy is catfishing. I know what im looking at is most likly larger than i need as iv cought 30 pound chanels on 25 lb line and a muskie rod.
But realy im looking for something strong and thick that is not to long like the rods i have. Because with the size i cant cast heavy baits out like a large cut bait without the pole bending so far that when i cast it just slams it into the ground or in the case of spining reels the bail closing on me and me throwing all i have into the river...
....
The size of bait i use is a average size goldeye normaly 7 to 8 inches of the body not just a small piece.
Realy i dont know allot when it comes to heavy rigs lol...iv been trying to learn more but i keep being told these 11 foot rods are the way to go but being under 5 feet tall and under 100 pounds my self there not easy to hold lol...
