Exclamation Being a Good "Roll" Model...

Regarding a SitOnTop "self rescue"...
Stuff (cooler, gear, rods, etc) onboard will adversely contribute to the righting of an inverted boat...MORE weight = increased difficulty points...
Unteathered item$...LEA$H IT or LO$E IT!
Reaching over the top of the Yak to roll it upright could be challenging...
Alternatives...
*Reaching under the boat, grabbing a far side handle and pulling down while simultaneously pushing up the near side to roll it over...
*Pulling on a line loop that runs over the boat and is attached to a far side ring while stepping downward into a short stirrup loop attached to the near side will cause a rolling motion that should right the boat...

Either way...
Cold Water sucks...Hypothermia really SUCKS!
Water temperature + exposure time + wind chill = overwhelming (without the proper anti-exposure gear and clothing)...
DON'T short change survival gear and tactics!
Practice Self Rescue and have a Plan...
The life you save could be your own!
