Thanks again to all of the tiers, plug builders, and others who contributed their time and talent Feb. 10th at The Saltwater Edge Fishing Fair and Conservation Raffle.
We raised almost $2500 to support legislation that will help keep menhaden in Narragansett Bay providing a cleaner bay for all Rhode Islanders and providing high protein bait for stripers, bluefish, and many other gamefish.
As an update you may have read recently of the study by Ninigret Partners that determined recreational fishing contributes over $160,000,000 annually to the Rhode Island economy. A portion of the past Saltwater Edge Conservation Raffle proceeds went to support that project back in 2005.
Even if you didn’t win a prize, thanks for purchasing Conservation Raffle tickets, your money is helping to improve your fishing.
