Currently the 14" Real Eel on the 1.5 ounce wobble head is my weapon of choice when it comes to soft plastics. Some of the other soft plastics don't have enough material around where the hook comes through and they are prone to tearing just from the casting. The Real Eels hold up even after a few fish. I don't rig a 2nd hook off them, I mostly find that the fish mean business when they hit it and if they are of any quality they inhale the whole thing and get hooked.
It's hard tough to beat 14 inches worth of eel imitating plastic.
I like the Surf Hog Eel too, but I'm a believer in "big bait, big fish"... |
I rigged Jersey style a few of the Real Eels 14 inchers on that squid I gave mike.Thats what that squid is good for as it is a deep or big water squid.
Eben Has a big eel in his molds He only makes a few I have a bunch they are sweet no middle bump out.U have to bother him for a few for urself.
