The boys made the trip up to the riv last night and landed three fish. March 1st isn't bad for your first striper of the year if you don't mind mending your line around faded Bud cans and river rats. As far as I've heard, the diehards have had a pretty good fishery up there this winter. Definitely worth a shot if you've got the bug. The power plant sticks out like a sore thumb so it's easy to find and if you dredge the bottom of this small pool with 3" storm shads it's almost a guarantee that you will be rewarded. Now, when will the first "real" migrated fish be caught ocean side? That's always a local cut throat competition, just over a month away........
