I've had decent luck through the season on
slug-gos, surf hogs and real eels. The other night I cycled through most everything in my bag and all they would hit was the 1 1/2 oz black wobblehead with large black curlytail.
Two years ago Dave Pickering did an article in OTW using 1-2 oz kalin/bullet style jig heads with the berkley power or gulp eel at a location known to produce big fish in Sept and Oct (especially when we get those nasty NE blows). I've got a bunch of similar jig heads from H & H Tackle that will be perfect for there. I figure about two weeks and that place will be giving up a couple of large.
Also finally got my prize pack from OTW (Thanks OTW!) with the RonZ soft baits (more like sand eels or maybe a small
needlefish in my opinion) so I'll be giving these a go soon also.
