It all depends..................upon whether or not you can land your offering right on her nose or not. The BIGGEST of the Bigs aren't budging from their spot too far. Sose iffin you can put a 6" swim shad in their strike zone, chances are she's gonna slam it.

However, I also subscribe to the BIG BAIT= BIG BASS school.
Say we're talking about the same 50#-60#'er just loungin' around, cruising the bottoms like she and her yearmates own them, and they do; but now you've sent them a 9" juicy looking, more bang for their energy spent morsel, and I think you'll have more than one of these BIGGUNS expending the energy to inhale it. It's all about timing and where and when your bait/lure/plastic meets its maker, so to speak.

But, don't take my word for it ask some of the eelers, timber tossers, and the live liners. When I asked Jim Sylvester what he caught his monster from last year with he said, "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels!" "..........big enough to make small children run away crying MOMMY!!" 46.5#er from a boat.
