as far as nite and day i do day only to piss off the blitz nuts when fishing slow a we swim out with a few fat eels ,hook up every cast and mange to releas them in an over head type pass really gets em!!!!
day time we use brite day glow hats for boat traffic which is the number one problem in day light ever see guide house montauk you''ll get a clear picture.
never had dec or cg stop yet ,but i do it in the dark mostly!!!
hope to hook up and fish one day, sounds like your as comfortable in the dark ocean as i am hey ever try closing your eyes while floating on your back in a rolling surf on the darkest nite check it out it a mind blower !
