Well, I fished from the shore tonight for my first time. Wore waders and all. Went over to Westport with a friend that is a shore fisherman. He caught 4 stripers. Two schoolies, and 28" keeper, and a 38" keeper. I have attached a picture of the 38 " one he caught. Now, I weighted it with my new digital scale, and it weighted, just over 18 pounds? Now, my striper scale says minimum 19 pounds, average 22 pounds, and max 26 pounds. Does the weight sound correct on this? I caught a 33" keeper the other day, and it weighted 15.5 pounds? Does this sound right? By the way, I fished right next to him with same set up as him, and got skunked. Give my boat back. I did try the shore thing like so many of you told me to do.
