Lots of velcro, heavy duty stitching, and quality materials that hooks don't easily dig into are the main features for me. Tough, tough, and tough is a requirement.
I don't need fancy pockets, just one on each end for pork rind and a spare spool.
I like a pocket across the top for leaders and other odds and ends. I also keep one of the 3 lights I carry there.
The top flap of the
plug bag needs to be long with a LOT of velcro so that if the bag is overfilled the top will still securely close even if the plugs are longer then the tubes.
The corners on the bottom of the bag should all have some reinforcement, even the toughest of bags are prone to wear there.
