Smile My take on teasers

I've had good success w/ teasers especially when the bait is small and the fish are far out. During the day I use a squidzee, at night a needle or Danny.
I fish braid. I too have had the wrap problem when tying to the
swivel, no matter how heavy the mono.
I tried running the teaser right thru a dropper loop but found the teaser was only a couple of inches from my main leader. A BLOWFISH will chop that and the $20 plug in an instant.
Frank D had a suggestion and I took it to heart. Attach a 6 to 10 in." piece of stiff mono to the eye of the teaser; make a surgeons loop at the other end and do a loop to loop connection to the dropper loop.
You can change them quickly. I carry @6 w/ me in small bags.
No BLOWFISH BITE OFFS ON MY MAIN LINE IN 3 YRS.
Anxious to hear other observations.

When I use a prerigged teaser I picked up, the fly or dressed hook (not sure which is correct) tangles around the main lure leader, how do I avoid this? All knots are improved clinch knots with 30# line. I have heard something about dropper loops for the teasers, does anyone use these. Also, I think I may have heard somewhere about teasers behind the main lure, when would these be used???

Thanks
