bluefish haters I've heard a lot of hatfull things regarding blues recently. This time of year the people complaining get even louder. It's usually the fall crowd that comes out early on a saturday morning expecting the sea to be blitzing with trophy bass not really the rhody nighttime regulars.
I'm not a huge fan of the fish but they serve their purpose out there in the wild. Ask a new england shark or tuna fisherman what there bait of choice is. There presence in large numbers this time of year can draw these large pelegics close to the beach and that is certainly nothing to complain about.
All these of blues can surely drive a bass fisherman crazy but that's no reason to kill them for no reason but anger. It's simple, if you don't want to catch blues, stop casting to an area full of them. Move on to another place. There are plenty of bass around elsewhere. |
