I grew up in Clifton and lived there until '96. Did a three year stint in Westchester county. Kind of miss having the Croton Watershed 1/2 hour from home, but with stripes, blues, bones, 'core, skippies, bluefin, sharks, etc. etc. I usually come to my senses.
I had a buddy who lived in Highlands for a couple of years... literally about a 10minute walk to the drawbridge; absolute best possible crash pad after a night of fruitless tossing. My first decent bass was an 11#er that took a #4 deep candy while I was throwing to sea robins hitting silversides at Horseshoe Cove. Nearly had a heart attack watching the line flying out of the basket. That was after a year of fishing around the hook and that fish literally kept me from going back to freshwater fulltime. Total reason why I moved up here. |
