Joe, I'm not a know-it-all and I fortunately have very little problem getting the plugs I want at fair market value. My problem is with guy who intentionally goes into the shops buying large quantities of plugs for pure profit. I agree that there is nothing wrong with an angler trading or selling his plugs for whatever the market will give, especially if he is in a situation where his finances are strapped. That is a completely different thing, to me at least, than the individual that buys plugs with the sole purpose of inflating the price for big profits. You obviously can't compare this form a moral standpoint but as an example what if the product was medicine. Would it be ok with you that people were buying it up only to resell at a much higher price to make a profit? If the medicine is in short supply than most would consider it wrong for this to be happening. What about the gas price gorging people were worried about not long ago. IS / would that be OK. Hey if the station could get $5.00 a gallon why not? Would you be OK paying that? Free market is an integral part of our society but sometimes what is legal and what is right are not the same thing. That being said maybe this guy is just an average angler with a large collection he is trying to unload. If that is the case than I would apologize. But buying and selling just to make a buck doesn't sit well for me.
