I feel your pain i burried a 4/0 6x vmc in my pointer finger a week or so ago while out at cuttyhunk, probably the worst place for that to happen. Didn't want to have the hook or the plug hanging out of me for the next 4 hours or so untill we got back to the mainland so i just pushed the barb down and just backed it out ( probably not the smartest thing to do because it bled and hurt like all hell).
