Thanks. This stuff is expensive relative to the cost of the reel that is why I was looking to avoid it. I'm not cheap it's just the principle of the whole thing. Just like you could buy a single 8000 reel and use spools from the 5000 and 6000 as well since they are the same reel but the spare spool is $40 for a <$100 reel! It's almost as bad as spare fly reel spools (relatively speaking). A way for the manufacturers keep you buying reels instead of multiple spools I guess. |
