I made my previous post on Friday. I sold my VSB this weekend to get a VS...the weight diff. was more than enough to convince me to do so. You are already accustomed to the bailess model you kind of just don't know it...in about 5 minutes the tech. was down...caught 6 Whiting & a 17" Red yesterday with the VS100. I had it paired with a Loomis SUR965S. I am prob. gonna get the 150 for that G.L. and use the 100 on my 6's and 7 footers. If you are fishing strictly surf go with the 150. But if you are going to use it for mult. applications I would get the 100. The 100 can handle anything you can throw @ it. I've got a Stella 5000FA as well...but its about to go bye bye...its a beauty & I take great care of my stuff....but its no Van Staal. You feel like you have to baby the thing for it to work right and u kinda do.

Example the VS100 = 11.2 oz

VSB100 = 16 oz. approx - a little bit bigger/comparable to a 5000 Series real.

Best of luck to ya!
