Guys,
Joe Cordeiro will be showing how to tie some of his patterns tomorrow night. I unfortunately will not be able to be in attendance as I have to go to a trade show in NJ. Joe is an amazing tier and teacher of traditional flatwings. He might have some stuff to use but bring what you can as I know the long narrow feathers many of his flies use are very tough if not impossible to get these days. Joe is coming to tie and hopefully it will go smooth for him. Sorry I'll miss everyone this week but I know Rob and Brian will hold down the fort just fine. Have your tools and
vise and we'll try to use what we have for materials. I'm not sure if Joe will have stuff to let the class use so we'll use what we can and see what happens.
I think Joe will be covering one maybe two flies but his patterns take some time and they are as nice in the vise as they are in the water. He did not give me any idea but just said a big flatwing of sorts so natural materials like bucktails in white, olive, blues, and so on as well as Bills Body Braid and Flashabou are it really. Any long narrow hackles are great but I figure not many people have them so we'll have to get along with what we all have.
Thanks
