Come on BassDawg, you have to embrace the entire season! Life's to short.
At least in Newport part of the reason I go catch a few schoolies is the social scene. I usually see some guys that I won't cross paths with again on the water for quite a while since soon we'll mostly be under the cover of darkness.
Always a good time bs'ing in the parking lot and watching someone in waders get greedy and stay out too long on the choice rock off 2nd beach all in the name of 16" fish...
