the problem with fishing reports is its old information. I assume that you read the prudence island thing from a newpaper report...that information is probably over a week old. yes day by day reports would be nice but the name of the game is getting out there and putting in the time. Fish as much as you can. Make your own reports. If you fish every single moment you can, you will fing fish. No one said this was an easy sport. Just because its the season doesn't mean their going to be so thick in the water that you can snag them. You have to find the right water, know the situations they'll be in and hit them as hard as you can till you find fish. If your finding smaller fish, keep fishing it, the big ones are most likely around, slow down retrieves and maybe try to get deeper.
Fright, as for your trolling, its very possible that your going toooooo fast. I know if might be as slow as you think you can go but for big bass, you have to go reeeeaaaallly slow. That could be why your only catching blues.
I know if gets frustrating but keep at it. Try fishing from shore a bit. Save the money on boat gas and learn some structure fishing. It will help alot once you figure out what the fish like and where they like to hide. |
