I think there's always fish passing by the open beaches but intercepting them is tough in the early spring. The guys who do seem to pull it off are usually fishing squid or chunking bunker.
Usually Newport seems to come to life around now. I think I'm going to leave the Bay behind for the first time this year and give the open ocean shoreline of Newport a try tomorrow night. |
