I use Ande backcountry mono and have no complaints. I use the 12# on my
VS 150 and 20# on my 250. Both reels are backed with about 75 yards of dacron or fly line backing 400 yards (250) of mono is really not needed. I found that the line does carry some memory when first spooled on the reel but after a few days of fishing it only gets better. Steve Mckenna first turned me on to it a couple of years ago and that is all I have used since. Hope that helps.
