Here is the official breakdown of the tourney results from RISAA:
This weekend was probably the best for fishing that we have had in the five years of the spring, SFCC.
The weights submitted and the attendance at the Awards Breakfast reflected this. We more than doubled our usual donation for MS. I want to thank all of the eleven teams that donated, and a special thanks to those that made it to the Breakfast. It makes it much more meaningful for award recipients to have their fellow anglers at the breakfast. I think we had about 50-60 there on Sunday. Jim Rubovits was there to receive our donations for the MS Society. Jim is an avid fly fisherman and is on the MS Board of Trustees. He really enjoyed the event. Following are the stats:
1st Place--Newport County Salt Water Fishing Club--110.30 lbs.
2nd Place--RISAA--102.30 lbs.
3rd Place--CT Surfcasters--74.59 lbs.
4th Place--Narragansett Surfcasters--52.2 lbs.
5th Place--RIMS--28.79 lbs.
No other weights submitted.
Cameron & Watts Award for Largest Striper--Robert Taylor--Newport County--33.56 lbs.
Largest Bluefish--Rich Morris--CT Surfcasters--12.58 lbs.
Honorable Mention:
Bob Jordan--RISAA--30.70 lb. striper
Dick Geldard--RISAA--28.10 lb. striper
Dennis Zambrotta--Newport County--26.98 lb. striper
(Bluefish weights helped secure the win for Newport County as Striper weights were very similar between the top two club finishers. Those dastardly bluefish.)
