I have not dined on pogy heads...yet...but after a long day of cod fishing in Maine w/college buddies years ago and after many beers consumed I did eat more than my share of cod eyeballs on the return trip as a result of foolish bravado, I hear they pack a lot of protein...oh, and in similar condition I dove off a boat in Newport harbor into a school of baitfish and surfaced with one in my mouth..hmmm...that was cool..I'd bite a pogy head if it guaranteed me a big bass... |
