I was headed home from work and decided to stop and make a couple of casts - can't catch fish unless you are on the water. If you recall the last time I tried that I ended up in the ER explaining to my wife the 2/0 hook in my finger. Tonight was better. I set a ten cast limit. Cast number 2 resulted in a hook-up. Nice 34" fish that hit my teaser (thanks rrabiner), and in fact tossed my plug somewhere in the bay. Anyhow, Mrs. has been wanting a fish, so this one came home. Nothing in the gut, absolutely nothing. I was very surprised. (yes, I am wearing dress pants).
I saw some blues working bait near Bishop's rock and the gulls were under the bridge when I caught this one. Some guys saw me loading it up and said they'd been on the water out front all day and saw little, caught nothing. They were green over my little fish for sure and certain.

Pretty sad when a mediocre fish gets attention, but I'm not complainin'!
