I agree, I too learned something, but since I do most of my fishing from a boat, it may not be much help to me, cuz my lure would be going away from the beach, insteda of towards it. LOL But, and info is a good thing.

not necessarily
The key is to have your plug landed in the foam and if you don't have a fish on the plug within 10 seconds ,the probability of a strike goes down tremendously
This can be accomplished equally well from a boats as from the surf
Of course ,getting close to the bar with a boat might be a bit of a hair proposition ,depending on the conditions

Really. Thanks Zeno. That is helpful. There is places I can get close enough in my boat and cast to with out a problem. Next time I am in that situation, I will try it.

Now, I understand why I was catching them at the Newcomb Hollow Beach at high tide close to sundown in the Fall, and I was tossing the plugs on the backside of the big waves that was running diagonal to my position.http://www.saltwateredge.com/forums/...s/confused.gif
