To this day after trying and fishing with every brand named line made ... underall kinds of conditions .... from saltwater jetties to tidal flow rivers the Wulff line casts the best. After that for fishability in cold water it's hard to argue with Airflo's coldwater formula clear tactical fly lines ... and their Depthfinder series lines easily cast and fish the best of any sinking-head fly line system made. I was in the store last month and was disappointed your guys didn't have the Big Game version with 50lb test running line....
Mastery series lines are good, as are Rio ... with Cortland somehow being my least favorite.... But if I look at my library of fly lines the dominate brands are Wulff and Airflo with some Mastery and Rio thrown in.

Hi Tony:
Thanks for your suggestions on the fly line selection.
We're going to try Wulff's Triangle Tapers again this spring. It's my favorite intermediate fly line, and it's also Earl's as well as Captain Eric Taylor's. About the time I started working at the SWE (back in the day, it could have been me that suggested that line) we could barely get rid of the Wulff's even though they were very popular amongst the staff. I think I personally bought half the clearance lines,

l. Either way, the market is different now and maybe the lines will prove their worth in our selection this time around. They do cast like no other intermediate for many people.
Sorry the Airflo DF Big Game wasn't in stock when you stopped by. The Big Game Airflo's seem to under go yearly updates and from time to time there' s gap in the supply. Generally we try and have every grain option available in that series. Outside of Rio's Leviathan series this series seems to be the best on the market.
Once again thanks for your thoughts on our flyline selection Tony.
