Default Flexo vs. E-Z BODY

I'm looking for fly tyer's that would like to explain their preferences for each tubing and why.

I am developing a new tubing that has greater flexing and expansion properties and would like to get the user group's FEED BACK, good, bad or indifferent.

Kid gloves are not neccessary.

Thanks,

E-Z MURF

Default Body

I have only used EZ and I like it for its flexibility and lateral line. I can create a large group of baitfish and young prey for fishing. I have never tied with Flexo.

I'd like to revisit this question as it didn't receive many responses the first time around. I figure that it's tying season and maybe it's a better time to ask all you fly tyers out there for your opinion.

Default I guess that nobody uses that plastic junk??

I'm surprised that nobody has offered an opinion on this topic .

That's O.K. , stop by and visit me at the upcoming SWE show to see a demo on our "New" E-Z FLEX tubing.

This stuff is brand new and pushes the tubing envelope in terms of it's flex and expansion properties . If you like playing with tubing, this stuff is the coolest!

E-Z Murf,

Personally, I prefer flexi-cord lite for most of my tying. I find that it is the easiest to manipulate. I do use a braided material that I purchase online. It comes in approx. 20 colors. Makes a nice squid body when you coat it with epoxy and sparkles.

I would be very interested in knowing more about your new product.

Regards to Peter and Corey.

I use E-Z Body large in natural for my version of Rich Murphy's mantis shrimp.

Nice work pnutbunker,

I think you'll like the new E-Z FLEX, it is really close to the Flexi cord Light in terms of it's expansion properties. The Edge has it in stock if you'd like to give it a try.

You can see an example of it right here,

http://www.saltwateredge.com/EZ-Flex.html

The picture shows the tubing expanded large enough the eat a coin. Keep in mind that it's unexpanded size is the same as Medium E-Z BODY (about 1/4" diam.). It's pretty fun stuff to play around with.
