I havent been out since Thurday morning, anyone else been out in this wind?

I got some odd looks up in the bay while snagging pogie's in the kayak. Some people in boats dont realize how much sound carries over the water. I could here every comment, good and bad.

I've been out with mixed results. Having an easier time finding the fish in the sakonnet. The wind and tide is no obstacle in the hobie Peddled yesterday from 2AM to 7:30 AM in the sakonnet trolling eels and fishing big dannies and topwater spooks. Only 1 good fish 37" for all the effort. some rats and many, many teeth. I was @2.5 miles south of the launch when I decided to quit and it only took me a little over 20 min to get back. That was with a dumping tide, decent NW wind and whitecaps. Now I was definately in workout mode and knew I would be done for the day after that run but damn that hobie can eat up some territory

Glad to hear your really enjoying that thing. I swear mother nature is out to get me when I am in the kayak. I may have to start looking at the hobies in the future.

Which one did you get Swanny?

Default 2am - 7:30am?

Is it the prospect of fishing or the little one getting you up that early?

Chris - a little bit of both No, truthfully I wanted the night bite to fish the eels and love to throw the big plugs at first light so that is a great time frame when I can manage it. As usual for me the plugs outfished the eels but yet I keep spending the $18 on a dozen eels. Maybe I'm a better plug fisherman than a bait fisherman but man eels are supposed to be pretty dummy proof. I mean if I was getting fish to eat them and dropping them that is one thing but I only got 2 fish to touch those slimy critters for all that trolling. Deep, shallow, slow, even slower, real real slow didn't matter very little love.

Shady, I have the revo.
