I got a good woman

She calls me on the cell late last night to tell me a Squall just blasted our neighborhood with heavy wind and rain, west of where I was fishing. So I High tailed it back to my launch site and got my butt handed to me again. I had to paddle through most of it just to get to the beach and rest.

What a rush!

I've heard of a streak of good women lately... First your story, then there's the guy who's girlfriend just bought him a fly rod who came in the shop the other day, and recently my very own wife purchased and INSANE piece of fishing equipment for me for our anniversary . Now I know there may be some who subscribe to "The Iron Man's Advice" (found here). But I must say that I'm glad I found the right one at such a young age. Sure I see a lot of these young guys enjoying the "freedom" to go fishing whenever they want. But in my case I'm glad there's someone to come home to (not to mention she's a GREAT cook).
