Nice string of fish Joel. What did you catch the fluke in your drift sock on the way in?

Chris:

I have used a Bik SOT for the last few years. A nice all around yak.

This year however I got one of the Hobie Outbacks. What a difference to be able to dedicate my hands to fishing and not to paddling. I recommend to anyone who fishes that they suck it up and do what it takes to come up with the extra money to pick one of these up. It has changed the way I fish. My fly is simply in the water much longer and I cover twice as much water, particularly when I am in a faster currrent. No time is wasted switching from paddle to rod and storing the paddle, etc. It is also great to be able to flip the rudder so the yak faces a hooked fish instead of turning half way around to fight it backwards.
