Lightbulb match vs reel to right rod

I'm going to buy a vs-200 or a 250. If i match it up one of these with a 9' foot Lami . Which one of these would be the right choice?

For a 9 foot rod I would most likely go with a 200 on a 1081M. Personally I use the 200 on a 1201M (10 ft). I plan on using a penn 710 on a 1081L this spring. The 71 would be close to the size of the 150 I believe.

For the rod you described I would go with the 150. Most guys will say the 200. My best suggestion would be get the rods and s if you can put some reels on it thiese knid of questions are tought because the'res alot of personal preference. There is really no wrong anwser.

Default combo

I use a 150 on handmade rod I got from Australia, I got a pair. They are 6' and 7'. And I work the jetty's and the boat and I think they are a perfect match. I have cought tarpon down in the Intercoastal and chunked for the big blues. I do not need any other combo!

Personally, I would go with the 200 on the 9 footer. I have the 150 on an 8ft Tidemaster that was custom built and the 250 on a custom 1205XRA. Go for a 10 footer with the 250 either the 1205XRA or the 1201M.
