Default Fluke

I Was Just Talking With One Of My Customers Down Here In Jersey And He Was Telling Me About How He Has Been Driving Up And Down The Shore Line Going For Bass Like Usual From Sandy Hook To Island Beach State Park. Well He Stopped Off In Sea Bright And Was Using A Plug And A Fluke Grabbed It Right Off The Beach. I Was Not Aware Of Them Coming So Close Into The Surf On Jersey Beaches. Well He Went On To Tell Me That He Boss Another Guy I Know Well And Hear Great Fishing Stories From Was Informing Us That He Was Out On His Boat This Past Weekend And Landed Multiple Fluke Ranging From 8 Pounds And Topping The Scale At 18 Pounds. I Was Amazed When Hearing This Because I Had No Idea They Got That Big. He Didn’t Get A Chance To Tell Me Where He Got These Fish From But I Know He Is Big In Fishing The Raritan Bay Area.

Last summer i had a 6 lb fluke hit a bomber i was fishing at night.Fluke are all over the surf during the summer months. I like to take small bucktails tipped w/ squid strips and just bounce it across the bottom slowly. Catch a few fish move down the beach a little and continue that process. Try the pockets next to jetties.
