Default things too the east

in short, i, my brothers, their friends, and aparently everyone else has become a spearfisherman. in the last week each of us has shot fish of 40 or better, the biggest being 54. these were all from one massive body of fish, that despite skishing efforts will not respond to angling gear. and befor anyone gets uptight none have shote more then two over the last week most having shot but one trophy. there is a record to be had in mtk. yesterday in a different area i saw the largest fish i have ever seen. it looked nearly two feet from the belly to the top of the head. it was however getting dark and sole giants spookin a heartbeat. i dove till i could not see the rocks in front of me hoping for return to no avail.

otherwise the rips are loaded. i went flukeing today for the first time this summer, i know crazy, but had great fishing with over tweenty shorts and 2 keepers to 5 1/2 lbs. word is that local eeling has picked up significantly with the viking catching near limits of fish 35lbs and loseing 3 40+ fish boatside yesterday evening.

offshore the canyons are heating up.nico had yellows and longfin to 80lbs on a tues troll along with a mess of mahi. wahoo are being reported with consistency as close as the ranger wreck.

its montauk fish are everywhere

corey i plan on spending entirely too much time in the deep this fall. the only trip i have booked so far is a 3 day pelagic on the viking, main target being swords which go loco on the moon. fished this trip last year and though had good fishing learned a lot that will hopefully pay off big time this trip...we had three swords over 200, big one near four circling the boat and none would feed, big live baits and fresh squid for them this year this trip leaves the 26th of sept and returns that friday. i know thats a long time away for you so for your consideration i plan fishing every mid-week trip that sails, mostly extended 1 days and 2 day trips. should all be sick because these guys are serious as well as open to trying anything, in my case setting up duel thousand gallon bait wells

ps heading your way a week from tues to help my little brother move in, hes going to roger doger lol, anyway we have to get out let me know ur schedule ithink im there for three days
