Default Surf Club Challenge!

Lets keep the trophy in Newport.

Hope to see everyone out there defending Newport County Saltwater Fishing Club's title this weekend.

Remember bluefish count, and help on the total.

Unfortunately, (or fortunately depending on what side of the bridge your on) the closest weigh station for this tournament will be Quaker Lane. Ocean State Tackle has a broken scale, and can't weigh any fish.

Work 8 hours, and make a pit stop on the ride home for some "select" eels. - Cost $15.00
Buy a pizza for the wife and kids to make them happy because they know they won't see you all weekend - Cost $ 17.00
Half a dozen phone calls to establish that nights fish phone network and a stop at the Edge to pick up some "necessities" - Cost $ 33.00
Fish all night, stop at Ma's Donuts for a coffee, pick up a roll of tokens for the first trip over the bridge and drive to Quaker Lane - Cost $32.00
Fuel up at the gas station to drive home from Quaker Lane - Cost $42.00
Another Cup of Coffee for the ride home and a few calls to shut down the fish phone network for the morning and early afternoon - Cost $3.50
Eat, Sleep & fish all weekend to win the tournament and keep the trophy in Newport - PRICELESS!

Game on Boys!

Thumbs up NPT Club will defend!

Tattoo great stuff man! Nice to see the "Plug Teepee" is closed for a night off from work to get out and test the product. And to the rest of the cracked out fishing critters...Good Luck out there tonight. Hope to see the gold stay in NPT again. BTW...Good thing I elected to stay home tonight Rob. Boat ride in the morning looks like the Hunk or MV for me in the AM for big bass hopefully. Wish I had one of Tattoo's new "phototypes" to use out there!
I'll let you guys know how we do!
Go Get Em!

Another Spring Challenge win for Newport. Great job guys. The trophy stays on the Island for another year.

Biggest striper of the tournament went to Arden with a 32 pounder. There's a reason they call him the Golden Child...

Next stop, a 1st place win in the Fall Challenge.

I second the well done. Everyone who participated fished hard and long. Some very nice fish taken the first night. Thanks to Peter, Arden, Rob, Jim, Kevin, Tattoo, Iron Man and any others I missed. Proud of you guys!

The Pres,
DZ

Nice job Arden and Iron Mike for two 30+ fish. If I get the official tournament results from RISAA, I'll post.
