Default NC giant bass and blues

Just in case you all were up for a road trip out of the cold and into the fish....oceanic stirpes and bluesfish are off the Outer Banks and I am running trips through the rest of the month. The "bass" here are big and the fishing has been good as should get better.
Stop by my site for up dates and openings.
Capt Gary.

In case you hated the albacore pictures......

Pretty nice stuff. More reasons why I wish bass never went that far SOUTH.
A good friend of the store sent us this email. This is what is also taking place in southern water right now. No wonder everyone here always asks us in teh store..."Why are we always never able to catch anything big"?
More the reason to make Striped Bass a gamefish with no commercial pressure in all water they reside in period!

Default Holy Crap???

Ok,,, I am new to this............Ho can he do that? Is it because he is a commercial fisherman? And if so, what about any schoolies he caught in that net? By the time he throws them back, their dead. How can he kill schollies, and not be responsible? Some one educate me, I am lost. No two keeper limit I guess, because he is commercial?

Fright Night,
This is commercial carnage to its finest form! Many other parts of the world still practice this method of "gill netting" or herding the fish for commercial use and fun for that matter. They are using beach launches with skiffs or other means of "gang tackling" huge schools of bait, gamefish, or any other wildlife out there. Very bad stuff and next season and any other season after I hope to not hear any complaining from you regarding "nothing going on guys" if so remember this small corner of what's really happening to not only S-B but other fish and wildlife all over the world or along the rest of the east coast for instance. Not good and we need to think good and hard before it crashes again and what could be for good if it happens. Hope this helps.

PS... The guys in the store showed me your new avitar.... I'm on your side from now on man

"You don't want to hear me complaining this year, or any other year"?
Am I taking that the wrong way? You seen my avitar? You mean the pic of me holding the striper? Why does that make you on my side for now on?
I am lost... have to have things spelt out I guess?

frightnight you need to chill out man. there is no conspiracy to ignore your posts. you need to lighten up a bit.

a question for the captain- do the big fish on your boats get released ,seeing as how they migrate down there to reproduce in the first place? thanks...

None of that (gillnetting) is any worse than what goes on up here in fish traps, draggers etc.. this just happened to be on youtube... It's a 3 day season in N.C. and if you think Gill nets arent still used in our waters, think again...

Comm's still land a LOT less fish than Rec anglers keep...
we don't get all the fish...
