Hiking in from the west entry point for an "OVERNIGHT" stay at the Keeper's House thanks to Friends of Monomy...austere conditions but the solitude and night sky are PRICELESS!
So...the SouthWay is no more...now it's a "Coyote Cauzzzway"!
What will the new name be?
It's not an "island" any more...just an 8 mile South Beach "extention" ?!

The Light, Keepers House, hazardous materials building, and the 3/4 mile stretch to Nantucket Sound...several fresh water ponds and poison ivy along the way....
Besides the isolated fly fishing opportunities, the area affords world class birding...

Poison ivy is EVERYWHERE!

Penguin, great pictures. I will have to enjoy them from here, because poison ivy and I do not mix very well. Even these pictures of yours are making me itch.
