Default Scrappy bass

Soo....
I'm out on a favorite rock-pile... one that doesnt involve swimming to get to, but has a deeper hole on the front with two rocks on each side... it was a decent swell, 2-4ft light SW sing had it rippled up... PERFECT conditions...

Now this is not a wet-suit needed spot, so I was in waders and my dry-top.
2 nights before I had lost a decent fish who had buried her head below a ledge to my right and I pulled the hook trying to muscle her out and over the ledge... happens, especially there...

So, I'm slinging eels across the front of the reef and get a p/u on an eel... 1..2...3.. set, decent fish, nice first run, get her in tight and she bangs a right, back at the ledge... F'it jump in and swim across the hole, cut off her angle and grab her a few minutes later... in a wet-suit wouldnt have been a second thought but regretted it when I was pretty f'ing soaked after that

The other guy there, a bud but not my normal fishing partner who doesnt know me well came scrambling over to make sure I wasnt dead... hardest I've worked to land a fish, upper 20's probably not 30... NCSWFC was lead by 40's so it wasnt worth putting her on a scale...

Love those kind of nights.,
